Regular Cab Bump?

Well I searched for small truck boxes and so forth and am not finding what i want. I'm trying to get some bump into a 1988 Chevy Cheyenne Reg Cab and there's literally not much room behind the seat.

I was thinking about doing a 10" ported and I saw some pics of boxes for standard cabs on this forum but can't find that again either. The prefab boxes I've heard are crap even with JL's which don't require much volume in the box.

Any suggestions or has anyone successfully got some good bass in a regular cab without cutting through the seat or putting the subs in the bed?

I have a 95 F-150 Regular cab, and there is NO room at all behind the seats, and NO ONE makes a special box for it. I had the "standard" truck box for 2 12"s behind my seat, but you had to scoot the seat up so far that it was uncomfortable to drive.

So now, I think my only options are 2 8" subs in the door panels, or switching from bench to bucket seats and making a custom center consol.

Or you could always just go with a good shallow mount sub, like the Pioneer! Their box they make for it actually looks good and is pretty shallow as well!

Good luck!

if you have bucket seats it'd make it alot easier, you could invert as big as a 12inch woofer in it... (im about to put a 12inch diamond audio d3 (cm3) in mine like that and i have a ranger

Yeah, just looked around, and noticed that there are no vehicle specific boxes for your truck either!

The newer trucks have so much more room. A friend of mine has a newer reg cab dodge, and he has 2 RF 12"s sitting in decent sized boxes behind the bucket seats, and they fold all the way back!

I want pics!!!

I plan on doing the custom center consol and inverting a 10" near the head rests //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i don't have any pics of any other boxes i've had due to recent hard drive failure.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I was thinking about a slanted box. I'm not a pro on boxes but since there's not much depth, could you make up the internal cu ft in height and width? I was thinking two 10's and a port in the middle or 1 10 and an amp on the other side. The depth is gonna screw up the bass response and I'm gonna have to get shallow woofers.
