regarding them being audible....................it's not "may not", rather "will not". the frequency itself (20Hz) is inaudible to humans, BUT the velocity of air rushing by your ear at any given place in the cabin may be audible, the upper harmonics of the panels and interior pieces rubbing together and moving may be audible.....all those things yield the "audible experience" of 20Hz that some may get. but it is other frequencies they hear, not the 20Hz note/tone.
i was only using Fs as another example of misinformation, equal to the one that some subs cannot go as low as 20Hz.
if we want the output to be identical at 20Hz as it is at another frequency, we may definitely need to lower the target dB. but if enclosure volume is not limited, you can get every dynamic driver that is correctly labeled as a subwoofer to play 20Hz at a dB level that would be audible if the frequency could be heard.
