Regarding batteries (AGM)

Alts tend to be hard to get at in a lot of imports. Do the other two wires 1st, see if it helps and maybe you can put it off for awhile, but you should do it at some point. A battery like the one you posted and the Big 3 will take care of your issues, afterall it's only a couple hundred watts your looking at. I used to run 2000 watts off a stock alt and an Optima battery, AFTER I did the Big 3.
Yea but the thing is it's only a '02 Ford Escort ZX2, not an import. Haha. But I'll definitely at least do the two in the next week or so and see if I can figure out a way to do the third wire.

Quite a few of the smaller "American" cars are actually imports, not much is actually made here anymore.
Ah, gotchya. Yea but I don't really get it. There's like a plastic cover and a little tiny tube going into where you access the alt positive wire. I have no clue how somebody would get in there.

The ones I've seen have a rubber boot over the post and the wire sticks out the side. Downside is you can never get the boot to fit back on correctly after you put the larger gauge wire and terminal ring on it. Never seen the engine on one of those cars, but is it possible to get to the Alt from under the car or from the wheelwell? I've heard of some cars where you had to pull the cover off the underside on the engine to get at the Alt, and a friend of mine had to take off his front tire to get to the Alt in his Chrysler.
