so buy it. you get what you paid for. i hate seeing people make the same mistakes i, and others have made. getting a GREAT headunit now will be much more cost effective in the long run, and start you on a good path into the wonderful world of car audio. I just bought my Eclipse CD4000 (399.00) and is by far the best headunit i have ever owned and has made my soundstage sound 110% better. everyone will agree the better the unit, the better the sound. but if you want that pioneer, get it. im not trying to steer you in any direction. just giving my honest opinon

you're best off saving up more and getting a higher end unit. the sound overall will be so much better. truely the best invesment
