Refurbished amps and Ikesound

Has anyone ever bought a refurb from 'em. I am looking at an Orion 4002 and it won't be visible so if the refurbs work like new I don't care what it looks like. Are refurbs reliable performance wise and does Ikesound come through?

Not sure on warranty but thanks revrider, I'll stay away from refurb.

Also I have heard rumors that they sell refurbs as new. Is there any truth to that?

I couldnt help you there, I bought things from them a long time ago with no problem. The last time was the worst, I tried a refurb and all I did was waste my money...

I won't buy from ikesound again. I bought from them once with no problems, however a couple of weeks ago, I had some wiring problems and I thought the amp was dead. I called them, and per their warranty, you have to ship the amp back to them on your dime with a $35 money order. They then ship it to whoever refurb's for them to see if it can be fixed. If it can be fixed, you get it back in 6-8 weeks. If it can't be fixed, you're sent back your fubar'ed amp and you're out your shipping money and $35. There's absolutely no promise of getting the amp fixed or making it right. Forget that.

i got a 4002 refurb from them about a month ago.. absolutely no problems.. loved it.. however they are poor at letting you know something is backordered.. so call and check availability before you order..
