What? The entire 1/0 gauge wire fits inside the reducer. What about when you crimp a 1/0 gauge wire to a ring terminal and then attatch that to your battery? At the end point of your wire look how small the ring terminal is? Its the same thing as the reducer (actually the reducer is most likely bigger.

lol. no.
it is like having 4gauge at 1 point. but that doesn't mean it makes a difference. every gauge of wire has a limit, and if that limit is not reached, you see no negative effects. hence why i can use 0 gauge to a distribution block, and 8" runs out to my amps, and still have 0 voltage drop across the points.

No. It is being converted from a stranded conductor to a solid conductor. Even if the reducer just happens to have the same diameter of a 4 gauge wire, doesn't mean its current carrying capabilities are even close to 4awg. It will be able to carry a lot more than 1/0.
