Recone?

i have a 12" Mmats Juggernaut it was in perfect working condition and when i was swapping out subs one of my dumbass friends yanked on the tinsel leads and they came off at the former needless to say it dont work anymore is there any other way to fix it besides reconing it? the coil and just sub in general is perfect

Nope. if there is no exposed tinsel coming out of the cone then you really can't without damaging the sub pretty badly.

Nope. if there is no exposed tinsel coming out of the cone then you really can't without damaging the sub pretty badly.

well looks like im ****ed then Mmats quoted me 120 for a recone i believe i wonder if i could get it reconed cheaper through someone else but the expensive part is shipping

take ur time and remove the dust cap you may be able to solder on a new tinsel lead to the coil lead and then to the terminal. i have fixed subs this way before...

good idea thanks if it needs a recone regardless then it wont hurt to remove the dust cap anyways

You will have to dig the lead out of the glue a bit...

$120 for recone isn't bad, I paid $180 each shipped to recone my Eclipse Titaniums into carbon fiber cones and tall rubber surrounds.

this actually may work, ive seen someone do it with a btl on youtube. just make sure you get it on the correct one lol
