when you tear out the old cone and dust cap and such...how do you do it, do you just rip it out or is there a certain way

just cut it out.. personally- i would get a new basket everytime.. (i HATE cleaning the old surround/spider off) but if you are just going to send it in, its not a big deal, i guess...
