Recone

I have 2 infinity kappa 10.1 one of which the dust cap or middle of the cone seperated from the rest of the cone and the other which has a dent from having an alpine amp droped on it. What exactly is a recone who does it and about how much does it cost?

Recone is basically taking your sub apart and rebuilding it with new parts to replace the broken ones. You will have to call infinity to ask about a recone though i dont know if they do them. you may be better off getting new subs.

Yea my sub were not purchased from an authorized retailer so i doubt infinity will work on them. I have already replaced them but was looking for a cheap was to fix them. They both work fine but look hoooorrrriible

They have both been replaced already with an infinity kappa perfect 12.1 so im good for now! Anybody want 2 subs inifinity kappa 10.1 both work one has dent from amp but did not puncture cone other the middle part i think its called the dust cap seperated from the rest of the cone but was appoxied back together and they both still bump. Ill sell for cheap and can send photos of damage if anyone has a need for hidious looking speakers

who cares if they still work fine, my av12 got a dinged up in my truck and my rlp didnt look so pretty either

You can glue the dust caps on your self ..... Reocnes are basiclaly if you blow a sub.
