Can I live?
I'm getting a recone for my sub and when ordering it I was asked about the spider landing height. The sub had 2 spiders, 1 sat in between two plastic rings, and the other sits on top of the rings. The rings are glued to the basket. When I order the recone will it come with these rings, or will I have to reuse these? I've never seen any of these on any recone tutorials I've researched, so I'm asking you guys for help. Someone has to know what these are for and if I need to keep them or get them from IA, who is making the recone.

you may need to clean the top ring from the previous spider to properly allow the new spider to be glued on. um, but if the ring is lifing the spider landing it may end up leaving the recone sitting higher than it should..

also, have you posted pics of teh wifey yet? i mmust have missed them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It sits in between AND on top of the plastic ring. Do they supply this or will I have to find a way to seperate the rings and sit the spider in the middle?

I'll see what I can do about pics of Wifey:)

what speaker is this?

um the plastic ring won't come with the recone kit. you can probably get away w/o needing it if nick(if your getting your recone from I.A.) knows what the speaker is and builds the recone kit with a height so it is un-necessary.

if he hasn't started the recone build you may want to ask him about the spacer.

also what kind of basket is on the speaker? is it like a 12-spoke? or different? pics of basket if pissible?
