Recommended Gauge Power Wire for 200 Wrms?

what gauge wire would be sufficient and not overkill for a 200w rms Amplifier??

I've seen some guys with very low gauge wire and to me it seems as a waste of money.

i believe that would be a waste of money, 12 gauge wire is rated at 30 Amps , the amp is fused at 25 Amps so therefore 12 gauge wire should be sufficient

8 gauge is perfectly fine.

4 gauge is overkill for 200w.

8 Gauge would work great....but you most likely will upgrade later. So I add another to 4 gauge...

ol as stated above 8guage is perfect. u could get away with 10 if u were straped for cash, but suggested would b 8 guage.

Go with 8awg, you have no need to go bigger unless you plan on upgrading in the future.

I used 4 ga then a distribution block to get 8 ga to the amp. I have ability to upgrade another small amp, or a bigger amp that uses 4 ga.

8 is plenty and cheap when bought in kit form

shoot for 200 watts all u really need is some 14 or 12 ga speaker wire

I dont know exactly what he was getting at either, but a "subwoofer amp" is usually a class D meaning its more efficient at making those 200watts than a speaker amp is, meaning it draws less current.
