Recommended Amp For One SA12 Sub?

I have a Sundown SA12 and I have seen these run at a normal 1200 watt load without an issue. What amp would you suggest I buy for this sub?

Were in michigan are you i have a mtx 7801 thats rated at 1200@1 ohm but there birthsheets go over 1700 rms..

Is yours 4 Ohm DVC or 2 Ohm DVC? Regardless... An amp outputting 600-1200 RMS and you should be safe. Going more than 1200 you need to make sure you have very clean signal.

I meant to say I'm in the process of buying the sub. I was wondering whether I should run 2 DVC or 4 DVC on a single sub before I bought it. What would be my best choice for a single SA12, 2 or 4 DVC?

If you get a d2 sub you have more amp options for 1200 watts. Usually to get 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms you'll need an amp that does 2200 or more watts at 1 ohm

Also, you don't need to run 1,200W RMS just because a lot of people are doing it.
