recommend me some good batteries

currently just have stock alt and battery. 96 dodge neon. going to run about 1700 rms. what are good batteries. also, could i combine two different brands? lets say for instance, i put a kinetic 1400 up front, could i run that to a batcap 2000 in the back and everything would work alright? thanks yall

Yea theres really nothing wrong with mixing brands. I've done it before and know people that have. With 1700 rms you'd probably have to upgrade your alt though. I would stick kinetik

I ran Optima up front and Batcap 800 in the back. Some say not to mix brands, but just make sure one in the back is sealed. I had about 2200 watts and was fine.

deka intimidator 9a31 are good batts.

I ran one as a second battery for 2200 watts in my avenger with no big 3 and I never saw voltage dip below 12.5v

well I can only assume that my voltage drops on 1700 rms is not going to be THAT much. not like im trying to strap 2 1500 saz's here.
