I'm looking to get my first system, and at first I was going to spend the money and get a nice one with kicker l7's, but I've been talked out of it. Recommend me a system including subs, amp and headunit for around $700. thanks

Are you wanting SQ, SQL, or SPL? Don't buy the best Sub/Amp Combo, Headunit, and be satisfied. You need a good front stage to get good sound, without being over power at low volume with bass. I made this mistake and wish I would have got a single 10" and a good component set.
