Recommend me a SQ deck please.

im also looking at a few 06 Excelon lines, heard they walk over alpines 04 models, sq wise.
I never have looked looked at any of kenwood's offerings. Such limited tuning options and goodness the 9833/9835 will probably make up in any "sq difference" via its tuning capabilities.

If you go with Eclipse, I highly doubt you'll be dissapointed with the SQ. My current deck, the Eclipse CD7000, is by far the best sounding unit I've had so far.
I have owned 2 Alpines (9807 and 9835) and 1 Kenwood (X990) and the Eclipse sounds far better than all of these decks combined.
a-fvcking-men to that!!

Just by all Zapco dude....the SQ is like unreal in $hit!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

dude you are comparing a head unit with normal processing compared to basically an external processor with way more tuning options than any HU out there. of course its gonna beat a stand alone HU. also this zapco HU, what are the features its supposed to have? build in processing? deadhead? the ability to control dc amps? how much is retail?

and you listened to this zapco head unit already? its already better than nakamichi, denford, mccintosh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif.

the head unit doesnt have outboard processing. that is what the dsp-6 is for if you want to go that route. it is just a plain jane head unit based on an older denon that was said by many respectable names to be the cleanest deck ever made. the deck is just a normal deck with symbilink outs, convertable to rca if desired. i dont believe it has the ability to control dc amps, since they have a unit for that. it would go deck, dc controlled, amp. it is supposed to be above all mentioned decks. oh, and i heard like 500ish range.
