I have a 880PRS but would possibly like something else that excels in the SQ department. I am moving to all Kicker SX amps which have every DSP option on earth minus T/A. So I need a HU that has 3 sets of outputs and can do T/A for all channels and has great SQ. I would like to spend no more than $350 used for such a deck. I am thinking Eclipse, but I know nothing about them. Thanks all.

I really like Eclipse HU's, the 8454 I have in my sig is a great deck and can be had for around $300-$400 on ebay or used. THey have graphic eqs, time delay and that clean *** eclipse sound. I love my eclipse dec in ohter words, have not found a deck to date that matches it. In my experience anyway.

i dont know what your deal is with kicker or with the dealers, but if you havent done anything yet, the zapco dc's offer greater dsp features including t/a, and the new zapco deck is going to be out soon, pure sq setup. they took a top of the line eclipse with the c2ks, and their deck with the iforces and the second setup sounded better.

Zapco is way out of my price range. I got the Kicker SX amps for dirt cheap.

If you go with Eclipse, I highly doubt you'll be dissapointed with the SQ. My current deck, the Eclipse CD7000, is by far the best sounding unit I've had so far.

I have owned 2 Alpines (9807 and 9835) and 1 Kenwood (X990) and the Eclipse sounds far better than all of these decks combined.

Am I correct that the 8455 is the equivalent of the CD7000 but an 05 model?

Personally I don't think you're going to get any better sound than your 880 in that price range. And you sure as hell aren't going to get better looks than the 880.
