im about to pick up a 12" FI q from a local for 180. the sub is a dual 1 ohm. i currently have a hifonics tx1005d.

specs on amp are:

350 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms

700 watts x 1 chan. @ 2 ohms

1000 watts x 1 chan. @ 1 ohm

can i run this sub to 1 ohm? if not ill just get rid of it and get something more suitable. any recomendations? 200-300 cash to play with

You can wire a dual 1 ohm sub to 2 ohms. Kicker amps are made to put out the most power at 2 ohms. A Kicker zx1000.1 would be a nice match, or even a zx750.1.

ok just to double check, i hook the positive terminal on one side to the negative terminal on the other side. And hook the remaining two to my amp. Do i bridge it on my amp since its just one sub to get 2ohms?
