Recommend me a 5-channel amp

hey guys, recommend me a good 5-channel amp that won't tax my electrical system as much. My current amp is in my sig. Can someone please explain to me why it strains my electrical system so much, I mean I can't listen to it for more than 10 minutes without it clipping from voltage drop. Is there a more effient amp than the one i've got?

kicker 700.5, alpine 450, memphis make 2 "the belles" one has 300 watts on the subs (about) the other over 1000 watts lol. you going to sell that one?

i dunno if id get rid of that soundstream800.5 for another one dude.

i doubt you will notice a huge difference.

did you upgrade your big3? maybe use 1\0 wire to your amp?

US Amps makes a nice 5-channel. And on egay you can pick up the older A/D/S 6- and 8-channel amps for very reasonable prices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Those would work just aswell.

i doubt the 5 channel us amp is any easier as far as a current load goes. all their ab stuff drew quite a bit if i recall correctly i know the 400's and 150's drew like 10-20% more than other comparable amps.

I thought about a jl 500/5, but the difference I would pay between the jl and selling the sounstream I could just get an HO alternator. I didn't really wanna result to that but it seems like my best option both cost, and performance of the amps wise. (well I guess the JL would be a lil better, no?)

Yeah the big 3 is done (see sig).

Yeah I guess that would be a good idea to upgrade to the 1/0.

I believe it's MotorCityReman. I got a 150 amp alternator from them that I haven't installed yet...looks good though.

Anyways Boston Acoustics has a nice 5 channel amp...not sure of the model number though.

word, so what's a good size alt to get don't wanna get one to big or to small? I don't plan on upgrading in the future in this particular vehicle.

ya do 1/0 gauge would be ur best bet

us amps and a/d/s would definitly hear better results over the osundstream

and oooo my i love those memphis bells....my memphis 16-mc3004 is once bad *** amp and i have nothing but great things to say about my old 16-mc1000d...and those belles are basicly those 2 amps combined into one with an ubersexy case.....

JL makes a strong amp, i have always owned a couple. i think that DEI had a pretty good 5 channel a few years back. maybe research that a little
