i say DD 3515,

but re sx15 is a fine sub too.. i did 143Db+ with mine in a musicbox @36hz and 1200wrms.

I'd consider something like a Tempest-X or Dayton HF 15" driver.

DD wouldn't even be on my list, I wouldn't pay anything for a turd like that...

DD2515 @ 2ohm

...amazingly quick response. Great low end. Nice price/performance ratio. Outstanding daily subs IMO.

RE SX @ 1ohm

....loves the lows. Can get loud in the right box, I got 148.6 out of 1 on a JBL bp1200.1. Not as fast a response as the 2515's. Lean more to SPL.

I have ran/installed both. Depending on what kind of sound you are actually looking for, either would be a great choice.

I heard 2 DD 3515s in a vented enclosure, it was just plain loud. Didn't have the low end, but i dont know how big the box was in exact and what kind of power.

Also heard a RE SE 15" in a vented enclosure, i wasn't to impressed with it. Im trying to tell my friend to put in my ride, since he is using a small amp for it...

Ficaraudio is taking to long for a shipping qoute, one of my other friend. Emailed them a month ago, still no response.

How much does the Magnum run?

I have no DD dealer near me, i have a RE dealer. Only brings in the SRs, he doesn't bring in anything else, unless you show the $. Than he orders it for you, charge arm-n-leg.

How is the SSA Icon?

I don't know what the new Magnums are going to run, the latest production line hasn't been released yet.

new magnum is supposedly gonna be cheaper since SI will go back to direct sales. But they will only be offered in a 12" at first.
