Okay, I have a Kicker zx750.1 amplifier that I plan to use to drive a subwoofer. It puts out 375wrms at 4 ohms, 750wrms at 2 ohms and like 950wrms at 1 ohms.

I was looking at subs and wanted to get a w7 but I can't power it with this amplifier because it's a SVC 3 ohm subwoofer. The W6's though, are DVC 4 ohms which mean I can wire it in parallel and push about 750wrms to it, correct?

Or, recommend me the best subwoofer, in SPL and SQ that I could efficiently power with my amplifier.

dont touch jl unless u rnt picky abt volume. id reccommend a skar. itll b under 200 from the ssa store online or find one on the classifieds. itll like that amount of power, they get low loud and have good sq.

Weird I could of sworn they were stable at 1 ohms. And after looking at jl's pdf, the W6 is a dual 4 ohm sub but can only be ran in 3 ohms for parallel or 12w6 for series. Gay.

I'd like a loud sub with good sq. Let's hear everyone's opinions.

I have 750 watts RMS at 2 ohms then.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too
