Reccomend me a 6.5"

Hmmm... Im buyinhg those Pioneer Rev's and will cut the speaker "grill" to make it fit... then add some nice thin black clothing over it to make it look stock-ish... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

have you opened up your door yet? i think you can just cut (or remove) the rear speaker baffle, and it will fit fine. unless older accords have a lot closer grills you should have no problems in front of the speaker.

I have opened it its kinda close. AS for the rear speakers i I cut the plastic cover to make them fit with a dremel. Pretty easy. If i removed them it would look soo ghetto... I'll show u. Leme find a pic

i mean the plastic cover BEHIND the speakers (in the doors), if you car has them.
Yea my 95 car does have them for the front speakers... I already ordered... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif yeeeeeeeee And I'll deal with the nitty gritty cutting when it arrives

Ok ... Just something here... I have TWEETERS in my Accord?!? I listemed to them and they sound like crap obviosly being stock... And I need to get to them, just that in my '95 they are at the very front of the windsheild .... Im gonna have to take the front console thing off... and I have to disable the air bag system while I do this. Or will disconnecting the battery be enough? Anyone done this before?? Im terrrin this thang up!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well, i decided it wasn't worth ripping my dash apart. luckily i'm using an external amp so i had to run new speaker wire anyways.

if you're not doing a seperate amp, i'd just unhook the speaker wire at the HU and then do short runs to each speaker. then you know the tweeters are disconnected, and getting the wire that short of a distance (while keeping it hidden) shouldn't be hard at all (much easier than ripping up the dash).

AND I cant wait for my new ones to arrive.

EDIT: and heres the plastic back thing u were talkin about.

yep, speakers look about like mine (except mine actually made by pioneer), and my tweets in the same location.

as for the plastic thing, you ARE going to have to either cut out the back or not use it at all. i'd just cut out the back if you don't have enough clearance behind the speaker, or remove it if you don't have enoug clearace in front of the speaker. i think you should have plenty of room in either direction, though.

U can screw the speaker into place without the plasric thing??? I didnt try taking it off, so i dont know. But I wouldt think Honda made holes lined up for the speaker in the metal door.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

you can screw into sheet metal, but there's no holes predrilled. just mark the spots you want holes with a pen, and pre-drill some small holes, and then screw the speaker on (make sure you weather seal around the edge).
