Like everybody has already said, Chris is a great guy and does fantastic work. He really goes all out on all his jobs. I would never hesitate to buy any of those amps.

I just ordered a SAE 1000d for there as well. It helps to hear that other people have positive experiences.

Thanks guys for the business and the props. We try to make everyone happy, we love the Sundown amps, they really are good, which is a lot to say about the product coming from an amp repair shop.

Since we have been working on them for over a year now (we started March or so of 2007 dealing with Sundown) we know the amps very well. Failure rate of our refurbs so far has been really low, only a few have had problems and we have taken care of it each time, or it has turned out to only be user error, problems not related to the amp. As Jacob mentioned I bought that one guy a new amp to make sure he was taken care of.

Does each individual amp come with a birthsheet? Are they bench tested for total watts?

I dont think there is a birth sheet.

Go to sound solutions audio forums. They have a benchtest of the amps.

They do not come with birthsheets but do include a warranty card for the 1yr warranty. The 1500d I received from dB-r was in mint condition and was even buffed/waxed to a nice finish. It also arrived quickly in less than a week.

Good guy there got 2 1500d from him havent tested it yet but I'm sure it will work. Would not hesitate to get another amp from him again

Yeah, I was thinking about upgrading my AA Arsenal 12 to an AA Havoc 12 and I've had my eye on the Sundown 1000D refurbs to power it. Most people seem to be using the SAZ 1500D to power their Havocs but I don't have enough room under my seats to accomodate it. I'm sure 1000 watts to a Havoc 12 will keep me happy for awhile
