that and the government gets too much money for it being illegal, drug seizures, fines, tax money to fight against dealers/trafficers. its billions.thats about all i can think of.

very good point.... I just kind of figured that the gov. would make very close to the same amount by selling and taxing it. I know so many people including the valedictorian at our school who are habitual users and would spend TONS of money on it.

The cons are conservative a-holes & people old enough to remember the 'reefer madess' era won't have anything to wave a stick at anymore..

I don't even think it would create more smokers. If your gonna do it your gonna do it, that's all there is. If your mind is open to the idea the potential to pick up a misdermeanor won't stop most people. Laws don't seem to stop teenagers from drinking at all.

But yeah, writing a paper for school on such a topic puts a bullseye on your head.

I know from personal experience that in Amsterdam those coffee shops have LOADS of business... I am sure lots of people would grow it, but not enough to kill the profit.

well we cant even smoke in public facilities so that would fail here and the profit would be far less than what they make on it being illegal.
