rear view camera hook up help

i got a pioneer avh-p6600 the purple wire that comes with the camera what do i hook it up to in the rear,

also i got a camera that has a video rca plug which obviously goes to the rear view cmaer output on the deck

it also has a 12 volt and ground hook up, what should i hook the 12 volt up to a accessory wire or does it get tied in to the purple (camera activation wire and help would be appreciated never put one in before but for 50 bucks figured a good investment since i tow boat and jet ski alot

well you tie in to your back up lights, so it switches on when you put your car in reverse.

should tell you in the instructions

install instructions **** just says hook into wire in reverse light that is switched

does that purple wire need voltage running through or ground to be initiated for it to switch on the screen

and the camera should it be hooked up to constant power or switched
