Rear Speakers

I've recently gotten a new stereo Installed into my car:

Apline CDA-7894

1 JL 12W3v2-D2

2 JL 6.5" XR-650CSi

1 JL 300/4

It absolutly rocks However, my dilemma is that i just discovered that my stock rear speakers are blown (i guess thats why i never got much volume from the back) they've rotted i assume, but anyhow their full of holes. I obviously want to replace the old 5x7 speakers which are currently disconnected, but im not sure whether to get decent ones that i may eventually move and risk them not fitting in my next car( or getting 5.25" adapted to fit so i know i can move em), or ok ones that i can leave in there when im done with the car. Im not sure if its worth it to invest the money or just get something to replace the old ones. Any ideas of suggestions would be appreciated.

how often do you have people in the back seat? if its rare, forget the rears. take em out, and let the bass from your trunk come thru the holes. its one of the best things i ever did to my stereo...and there are a lot of people (like me) that swears by tossing them.

sq it is for me, though like you mentioned i do occasionally bumb up the bass when i feel like rockin my diesel boy or hive...but back to what i was saying...well i will be driving people to school this year so i'll have a full car everyday, but i can myself tell the difference without my rear speakers, i mean the components rock but i still like the ambiance rears provide.

it took me a week or 2 to get used to not having rears, but id never go back now. as for passengers in the back seat, i dont carry em often, but my fronts are in the dash, so they can hear em in back well enough.
