My basic question is....do most people here use rear speakers for fill, or do they just use front stage and subs?

I am a poor college student and I'm trying to build a basic, pretty good system. What I'm tryin to say is I am on a tight budget. What I have so far is an Alpine 9825, cadence DIN size EQ, cadence TXA 10s, soundstream XTA1050.2, Alpine SPR17LS, and tsunami multi-amp wiring kit w/ 1.2 cap. None of this is installed yet.

So, would you just get a 2 channel amp for the alpine comps or get a 4 ch and another pr of 6.5s?

screw rear fill...look at it this way..u wont hear much of it anyways and do u wanna pay xxx$$ for something that can only ruin the sound or for smthg that only your backseat passengers will hear.....

It's a 2000 Honda CRV.

I'm thinking about a clif designs CD20.2LX for the alpine comps. I can get one for about $120. Unless you guys hvae a better idea. Keeeping in mind that is about all I want to pay. If I do 4 ch with rear fill, It's going to delay getting everything installed. I've been accumulating my gear for about 2 months now. I've financed this equip. by selling stuff on ebay (golf clubs, pc games, CDs, etc)

I was watching a pair of cadence mids on ebay. They were the 6.5s from a comp set with the crossover, minus the tweets. But I was in the library, and I got distracted by girl I knew. Before I knew it, the auction was over. They sold for $10:crying:

update

Well I decided to go with only a front stage. I just picked up the clif designs amp I wanted on ebay for $51:veryhapp: It's in perfest shape! I think my budget system is going to sound pretty good, not great . I got decent stuff by being patient with my ebay bidding. AND I did it without having to go audiobahn, crunch, power acoustic like my buddies. Here's what I paid with no exagerations:

Alpine 9825 $56

Cadence DIN sized EQ $39 (new)

Clif Designs CD20.2LX $51

soundstream XTA1050.2 $100(new)

2 Cadence TXA 10s $115 shipped(new)

Alpine 6.5 comps $61 shipped(open box,new)

All I have to do is build the box and install everything....I'm almost there!
