Rear fill question.

It seems most (or maybe just alot) of folks here are generally not fans of rear fill. Just wanted to see what the majority of people here think I should do.

My system is pretty basic and definitely not high end but I plan on upgrading some things here and there in the future. This is all in an older Dodge Ram BTW.

Currently I have 6x9's in my door, tweeters in my A-pillars, and 6.5"s in the rear doors. A 50x4 amp powering it all.

Fronts (6x9's and tweets) are powered by the front two channels and the rears are powered by the back channels.

Since I do like rear fill would it be worth it to run the amp in 2 channel mode and only power the 6x9's and tweeters while running the rear 6.5's off of the head unit?

Not sure what kind of load or how much power the 6x9's and tweeters would get but it would definitely be more.

Yes or No?

Sorry, it's all Rockford Fosgate Punch Series. Amp is 400.4, 6x9's are 2 way RF's, and 6.5's are the slim fit Punch ones.

I'm still kinda confused as to how much power is going to them now vs. what would be going to them in my above scenario.

It would be 200x2 rms on that amp, but you might end up over-stressing the amp because running the tweeters & the 6x9's wired together makes a 2 ohm load , and that amp isn't stable at 2 ohms bridged.

Thanks for the info. I ended up calling RF to get their opinion and they said it could run all 4 speakers in 2 channel mode. He might have said bridged stereo though????? As I said, it's all over my head so I'm trying to figure it all out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
