Back from the dead
i was running a 9512 jensen hu stock with stock speakers...

i put a kicker 850.4 in today and i have a dumb amount or engine noise. i tried noise filters and they help very little.

i checked the ground and its rather good...

im thinking its the stock harness...

the ppl that installed the amp hooked it up through the stock harness and all the speakers are on.. the stock sub and the 2 far back speakers...

im thinking that if the amp was wired direct to the speakers(front doors and back) that i wouldnt have these issues... anyone have any ideas?

show me one please

and should my speakers be wired as they are with all 6 speakers active with the factory sub or just the 2 new comp sets (planet audio bb65pro's.)

I know that any time we just add an amp we tap on at the harness and we don't get noise.

How long is the ground? And is there any corrosion or anything on the ground?

Could possibly be the RCAs if you used some real cheap ones

the ground is about 7inches long and its 4gauge

no corrosion what so ever, its brand new as of today

I have the same unit in my womans car. Dose the same thing.
Are the RCA's and the Power wire ran on the same side of the car?
yea i think they are ran on the same side of the truck...

if you womans car has the same issue, that leads me to think its the unit...????

im almost sure its not wired right.

i wish someone around the atlanta area could check it out.

im going to the shop that did the truck today and ima see if they can rewire things...

i want the speakers wired to the amp direct, not through the stock harness... and maybe a better ground off the deck... cuz at this moment i cant even listen to music with out getting mad b/c the high pitch whine

they are gonna charge you out the *** bro.

To wire directly to the speakers and have to fight with the door boots I'd charge 50 bucks a door.

The harness goes to the same wire man

Thats a myth unless he is using some 20 year old RCAs lol

In most customers cars I help on the power wire, remote, and rcas are taped together and never have any noise.

IMO its the HU

I agree with the HU suggestion, as per my last post. I have had signal interference with RCAs and power wire next to each other so I disagree with that! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
