exactly, the rears are not your soundstage, the front is what you'll mostly be hearing for mid-high range. and a subwoofer will take over the really low stuff. the rears are just there, but you dont want to notice them, you want the focal point of the music being right at your ears. by putting in overpowering speakers in the rear, its going to pull the soundstage back and it wont sound as good, or as realistic. honestly, i'd switch that amp around, 100w to the front and 50w to the rear. and get a nice sq/sql sub with that 400 bucks. you can get rediculous 6x9 boston coax's for 399, but they're going to take over your system. you want the comps to do the work.
