Rear fill-6x8s or 8" midbass?

I have a comp set in my front fill and two 15''s in the trunk, looking for nice rear fill...choose between 6x8 or 8" midbass and give me some names to lookup!

8" KODA MIDBASS!!!

6x9\8's distort very quickly compared to round speakers. if anything get a nice pair of 6" or 8" midbass speakers.

The RE8 can't be used as a true midbass, and I doubt that the W7 can either.

Just leave the rear fill empty, and definitely don't put anything that will be stronger (midbass wise) than your front speakers.

just like everyone else...I want to sound good for as cheap as possible...I was thinking about RE 8s, they are only around 55 to ship it here, but the Koda is 80...

Because it will pull your soundstage to the back. If you're goal is simply just to get as loud as possible without any regard for sound quality, then forget what I said.

Then run some co-axials off of the headunit for rear-fill. When was the last time you went to a concert and they had the band scattered around in different areas of the room to give a "nice fill" throughout? They don't, they all stand in front of you.....which is where the sound should come from when listening to your stereo in your car.

actually, thats what they have a PA system for, so they dont all have to stand around...

It's not surround sound; you can't have surround sound with our systems because they everything we listen to is stereo (i.e. only left and right channels, no LF, LR, RF, RR).

And as geff pointed out; I've never been to a concert where the speakers were anywhere but on the stage, or very close to the stage.

And have you ever been to concert where the guitarist was behind you? Or the Drummer? Or the bassist?
