Hey, I still didn't finish my system install, but i do want rear fill just because ive always liked the way adding rear fill sounds, plus for rear passengers. But i dont want to amp the rears, I have spots for 5x7 speakers, What would sound good and not distort with just deck power? Because i dont want to get speakers in the rear and then they get distorted at high volumes and totally destroy my sound. I dont even need co-ax's, Just mid bass would be fine back there. What should i go with?

No you need a decent coax to not ruin your sound, having only a mid in back would mess things up IMO. Also you can use your fader at high volumes. How do those AQ's sound???

I'd spend around $100 and get a Boston, Rainbow, ID or something along those lines. The higher the sensitivity the better since your running deck power.

I didn't even finish installing them, okay so what kind of sensitivity would you reccomend? And rms what am i looking for like 40?

Okay thank you very much everyone, one question, Why wouldn't i just want a midwoofer back there? lets say i never had passangers and just wanted rear fill, then would i want a midwoofer?

Okay thank you, im probably going to go with those bostons i just have to get a couple more bucks together. I appreciate your help everyone

I would reccomend some infinity reference rears, they make some VERY nice sounding 5x7 coaxs which would probably run you around 50-60 bucks. Theyre also 2 ohm, which means theyll get louder off just deck power, assuming youre amping the comps you have up front. Also have 93db sensitivity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyone have any input they would like to add to that? Doesn't 2 ohm sound dirtier than 4 ohms?

Ive never heard that theory? My infinity rears sound just as good as my comps up front. They actually have alot more midrange to them which is a good thing too. They also have an adjustable +0/+3db silk dome tweeter which sounds very clear and not harsh at all. They should be at your local best buy, thats where i got mine. Go listen to em, dont pay retail though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have the infinity reference speakers. The fronts are amped at 50 watts each which sounds incredibly clean the rears are being played straight form the speaker connections. They are 2.65 ohms, which I didn't pay attention to, but they never distort. After breaking them in they lose a little bit of punch. I bought one pair from crutchfield and got robbed, the other pair I bought from amazon **** near half price.
