if u **** at backing up then u'd probably need one. I've never hit anything backing up (knock on wood) so I don't see the point of needing one. Seriously, if u drive ur car enough u should know exacally how far away ur bumper (front and back) is away from something, same with the side of ur car.

nope no hole needed if you mount it right.

They are neat my dad has one where the screen is intergrated right in the rearview mirror. He got a freebie since he works @ webasto. Let me know if you want one and I'll hook you up with a dealer that installs them or sells them in your area.

There cool as hell for blind spots.
