My mom took a "paddle ball" paddle and drilled holes in it so it was lighter. That was my beating stick, but only if my dad wasnt home.

If he was home then it was the belt. I could swear my dads belt was 3/4 " thick. I know it wasnt but when I was little it looked like it.

Usually he would just fold it and grab both ends then snap it. It sounded like a crack of thunder. My *** cheeks would instantly pucker and I would quit what ever I was doing.

my mom broke a wooden spoon on me. i got the belt a couple times, but mostly spankings. my dad backhanded me a few times. thats about it.

No they were Loved serious, If your parents did not care for you they will not discipline you,they disciplined you to put you on the rigth path, I know my parents loved me alot and it kept me out of jail and the graveyard.
