powerbass asa1000.1 and the autotek mm1000.1 can both be had for under 225 shipped and are by far the best bang for the buck amp's on the market. dont beleive me ask another qualified person with experience.both of these amp's are highly underrated and overbuilt. to sum it up.......they will last forever and are very cost efficient! search ebay

by the way steer clear of the refurbed kenwood's they just end up being refurbed again. ive seen a lot of them come and go

Bang for the buck, id say a Directed 1100d or 1500d (same thing) will do just fine.

At one point I ran mine for 2yrs @1ohm. Pushed the amp into thermal more times then I can recall (during the summer(s) in AZ) and it still works just fine.

As far as the SAZ-1500 goes, you get what you pay for. I wouldnt mind owning one of those. Remember they are rated at 12v. Your car is usually 13.4-14.4 when its running, meaning you're getting quite a bit more then 1500rms. SO as far as $/rms watt goes and bang for the buck, id add that to the list.

sometimes it is.just need to be patient.it all depends how much of a rush ur in to get an amp.curiosity.what sub are we trying to power here?dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?

You may very well be the only person I have ever heard say this.....

My old Viper (made by directed) did rated power and lasted forever.

As for Kenwoods I cant speak for the refurbs but I got mine used and it runs strong never gets hot and was priced right.

alot of the amps mentioned in here are super bang for buck amps, but I have to agree with the Hifonics being a great cheap alternative.

Reading here for a while I always took notice of the Hifonics amps. I just paid for a Brutus 2006D so hopefully I will be able to see it first hand real soon!

The DEI Viper amps used to be priced right, I'm not sure what they're going for now.
