Realized I have a Super Nintendo at home...put it in the car?

it' easy as **** to do....i have an N64 with golden eye in mine....and every now and then when a buddy and i are waiting for any given reason (gf getting off work, friend picking up a bag, fiend at a gas station, the drive through if u pay attention.... anything.....)...we play out a few rounds in multiplayer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif completely practical IMO for when you have those extra 5-20min of waiting on someone......quality entertainment....
I have a NES in my car...it brings good times.

Okay, guys...how do you have yours connected. A PS, PS2, XBOX, etc would be easy simply due to the RCA's...HOWEVER, the old school consoles do not have these, so what do I need to get to convert the signal from RF Coaxial Cable to RCA? EVERYTHING I've seen so far says to use a VCR to split the signal and there's no way I can do that with the small inverter I have. I've found what is called a "demodulator" and it is no longer made:

Also, care to take pics of your setup. I'd start on this today but I don't have anything to convert signal with.

If you goto any video game store, maybe even a best buy they have the cable. Nintendo's divine intelect opted not to change the adapter on the back of the snes to the current Gamecube:fyi: . If you go out and buy the Nintendo Gamecube rca connection, they should plug directly into the back of a snes. Unfortunatley I do not know/own an original Nes, so I do not know if they are compatible.

You, my friend, are a genius!

Just went to EB and bought this:

bout to try to get it hooked up. I'll post pics if I'm successful.

I would so just bump Super Mario Brothers 1 music on that system man. Like roll the windows down and give yourself a total "im pimpin" vibe and roll past some chicks blasting the first level music from mario.

Would be so classic.

find yourself a coaxil to RCA converter,...or something thatll let u go from coaxil to all 3 rcas plugs (red white adn yellow, even though youll probly only use 2 of those)...find a cheap 7inch lcd on ebay that has a buil tin speaker.....and just run those RCA's to the video in and audio in, then you can control the volume on the tv or just unplug that audio rca if you wanna mute it. then get a power inverter for the game consol eto plug into. then get a relay for the power inveters power wiht that relay being triggered by the ignition power wire (red wire)

Got it up...I'm pumped. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Now I just gotta figure out where in the world to hide this dang thing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

That was a mess to read...

Gamecube Multi-In cable used for SNES.

150w inverter

Done.

What you were lookin for was an RF Module (sp) It's just a coax to RCA and can be had at Radioshack. Had to buy one when i went on a skiing trip and brought my xbox and the TV in the hotel was so out of date it didnt have RCA's in the back. I was pretty pissed when i found out but i just bought one and then returned it when i left at the end of the week.

Glad you found somethin that works for ya though, and props for goin old school in the car.

Actually, what you used is fine for something that has RCA out and requires RCA in (which the tv didn't have), however it would not work in my case which is completely opposite. I was trying to go Coaxial out to RCA in. Apparently, what I'd have to have is a de-modulator. What you used was a modulator.
