Real quik help please

I have a craftsman digital+analog multimeter, and i dont know which setting to use. i have ac/dc settings ohm settings. Does anyone know what the normal setting for one of these is?

please respond fast as i am borrowing this from a friend and i need to return it soon

Well what are you trying to read? If you are setting your gain then set it to AC...

ok, im setting gains. But there is different ac settings from 600v 200v 20v 2v 200mv
