well the re8s only rate at 175rms and the e8 is at 200rms... so if I had to guess i'd say the e8.

nothing really to do with which would be the loudest, 2 close and not all companies use the same rating system

Never got both metered, but the e8's can thermally handle more power, that's for sure.

That's what I have on a 10.

the e8s are thermally just about indestructable. I have repaired about 150 of them and only have 1 with a burnt coil. The other soft parts will fail well before the coil burns. e8s have a larger motor structure and larger coil. I have seen up to 700watts thrown on a single e8 with no issues.
