re xxx mids vs. id oem mids vs. hsk165 mids

TRY EM ALL. then you can tell us what you like the most and all that fancyness.
how about those options lol.
I'm trying to avoid removing my door panels a lot. It's a pain.

edit: Also trying to not replace my tweeters but if it is a must then it is.

I had a kx650.4 running em. about 115w to the mid and not sure how much to the tweeters well say 45w.

80hz@ 12dB/oct 2.5k@ 18dB/oct on the mids

2.5k 12dB/ oct on the tweeter

Clarion DXZ955MC for signal

Is the vehicle you are using for this setup the one in your avatar? If so, seal up your door. That door is not built too well for some powerful midbasses, or any for that matter.

Also, if you haven't already, do not use that plastic mounting device that came with the factory speaker. Make your own, seal up the door and brace it. If you have, good for you.

My OEMs sound pretty nice up to 2500, and I've had them up to 3200. The XXX mids are better for midbass duty only, better 3-way. I've heard a car with the HSK's off a Sundown 100.4. The doors were deadened and sealed. They sounded decent (I was sitting in the passenger seat and the T/A was set to the driver), but I noticed midbass was kinda weak too. I think the OEMs will make you the happiest overall...
