Comparing the 3 of them ran with about 125w crossed at 80hz - 2.5k/3.3k Which would excel and sound best all the way through out that range?

If you have any experience with the 3 please post up your opinion. I've searched but can't really find anything comparing the 3 of them. Thanx

if your'e planning to just to buy mids i would do the ID oems, you can search for reviews.

i dont think that one single person on this forum has bought each & every one these mids to compare against each other.

reason I ask is I have the hertz mids and I wasn't getting that much midbass out of em nor midrange past 2.5k and still sound good. I have a pair of id oem's coming in the mail along with some re xxx mids and I was curious of which to install.

They will all be ran active and pair with hertz tweeters from the hsk165 set.

the ID's have very nice midbass output but from my persona lexperience the hsk's can be crossed a little higher and sound good, overall i was happier with the id oems, I ran them with blaupunkt vc100 tweets.

I agree with Ng. If you are looking to cross your mids around 3k then the XXX would not be one of my options. The ID OEMs should do very well but dont expect many mids to play very well above 3k off axis. Also are your door sealed?

yeah, do you have deadened doors? i really dont mind my hsk comps with the sub turned off. but before without deadening thats a different story. hey! that reminds me i got to try my MLI mids now that my doors are sealed.

if it were me, id try all of them (w/ there respective x/o points), if you have them coming in the mail. why not?

I don't have them sealed but they are deadend. How much better is it to fully seal off the door w/ plexi and ect.?

I've had my hsk mids for a good while now. I wasn't super pleased with the midbass nor the midrange in them. From what I have read everywhere I believe i'm going to install the id oem's and give them a try..

Anybody else got something they would like to add?

Thanks for the help everybody!!!

I just got the OEM's and Seas Prestige and they are going to be run by a JL 450/4. It looks like most ppl are crossing over around 2500hz, what slope are most of you using on the mids and on the tweets? I will test all but was trying to get an idea.
