I've been off this board for a long time and when I came back everyone was talking about RE... RE this, RE that... I started researching and wow are these awesome sounding drivers. Only questions are:

(1) Can they only be bought from Resonate Engineering itself? If so how much is the 12" XXX?

(2) When will they start making amps?

You can call RE and place an order. I believe the 12 XXX is around 370 bucks + shipping. They already make amps, and this years model should be out in a month or so. Call up RE and they will be able to give you full details.

I believe that you can get RE at some local shops, but it all depends if there is one close enough for you to drive there.

They are suppose to be releasing the RE36.1 soon. They used to make amps but them they stopped for a while to make the new ones and they should be comming out eventually.

which ones are the highend REs? the SE, HC, or XXX?

hc's and xxx's are higher up than the rest, the new SX's will replace the HC's, if you want highest end RE then the MT is what you are looking for, can be used in music applications but not recomended.

how are the XXX for SQ? I want an extremely loud speaker but it has to be a very good SQ one as well. I am more for the SQ than spl.

the XXX is what you are looking for. it gets really loud and sounds really good. wait............that is what i've been told. i don't own one.
