Re Warranty Policy Is Bs

the solder issue ison the "new" amp they are sending me to replace the other one they want to keep now . they tell me that the burned chassis ground couldnot be the issue and that everyone who is telling me this well here is the email i just got in a responce:
Only someone who had no clue about how a car stereo amplifier actually works would say something like a burned chassis ground wire would cause clipping etc and dc blah blah.

I just going to put it to you this way:

A. Whoever the people you are talking to, don't know what the hell they are talking about.... LOL That's some funny stuff....

B. I would be after RE to send you some new subs. The only way the output mosfets in these amps blow is from shorted speakers. You also need to invest in a meter so you can properly check everything before you hook it up, or take it to a car stereo shop so when something goes wrong they are responsible...

C. There is no way dB-r is buying you new subs, we just cannot do that. You would have to take us to court
This Db-r kid is full of shit....

The first amp you got malfunctioned and took your subs out, hes covering his *** by sending you that "new" amp

I have never dealt with either company, and i keep hearing more and more bad things about RE. But this isnt there fault...

What did they sound like when you put power to them?

Its all bull shit but niether one will get me replacement subs i just got screwed . and DB-R is the Sundown Factory warranty/ Service person . The only authorized reseller for Sundown. This is why I went with them on a amp so I would have some sort of warranty and they did cover the amp. just not the subs . Hes set on it not being something with the amp at all. He does keep going around mypoint about the melter ground terminal on the outside and keep talking about the burned board and the burned underside from the previous owner of the amp and saying that the amp may look burned hell heres his last email .

The terminal on the outside of the amp might have a small burn mark after power has been hooked up to the amp when its new or the capacitors before the power supply inside the amp are empty. If someone hooked the wires to the amp while they are already hooked up to the battery.

Thanks

Well was the original problem with the amp or the subs? And did you buy the subs direct from RE?

If you had a bad ground, causing bad voltage drops to your amp, the amp could have been producing some DC signal or clipping pretty badly resulting in a blown amp and blown subs. If this happened it's your own fault.
RE doesnt know this info though.. as far as they know, he hooked em up, turned it on, and they blew

this is why you buy new stuff. Ive kicked my own *** several times for buying cheap shit then having to pay to get it fixed or buy something else. If youre gonna do something do it right the first time.
the amp is supposed to be like new from them refurbished you only get half of the warranty time 1yr but it is transferable if you sell it and i got it for $340 shipped so I did it . Sundown makes a great product I just feel like I got a bad deal on this amp . I have never heard anything else bad about them and will do more business with them in the future I just wish they would take some credit that it could amp more than likely was their amp that blew my subs . And feel like SUndown as a company should atleast helpme out on some new ones even if not free discount or something . And i feel like thir is a reason why my amp was said to be fixed and problem free 2 days ago and it still wasnt mailed back to me . Then when I ask today He tells me he is sending me another amp because he wants to keep testing this one before he sells it to someone else so it dosent mess up thier shit . If its fixed sell the **** thing dont beat around the bush and tell me itsnot the amps fault but you want to keep testing to protect the next guy from your amp not screwing up thier system??? Am I right ???? I know thier are sundown reps here what do you think ???????

re knows I hooked them up they made no sound i went to adjust the gaim fronm all the way down and smelled smoke killed the power and let the smoke out of the box . they said regaurdless of thier fault or not no warranty on multiple claim items .

so if yyou get 2 bad subsnew you just got screwed unless you send them in separate i messed up and told them both because im not going to lie to tryto get them fixed if there service is shit im not using them again regaurdless if its the amp or the subs fault

anyway im gonna go stare at my usless speakers some more lol if anyone here knows whothe sundown reps are here please stear them to this thread Ijust want thier input on the customer service they provide and thier warrany replacment procedure im going through . thanks everyone

I suppose that Firestone could not get held responsible for people who died driving Ford Explorers when their crappy tires were at fault all along....... Sundown is indeed on the hook for this and don't take no for an answer.
