Re Vs. DD

I have narrowed it down between these two woofers. A pair of sx 12's or a pair of DD 3512's. I am looking for more spl than sq. I have a U.S. 2000 that will be running them and between 6 and 8 cubes of space. Which of the two would you pick and or is there somthing better that i could use. I looking to spend between 400and 600 shiped. Thanks in advance Bud.

Definatly the DDs. Can handle more power if you wanted to give it to them. The 3500 series is an excellent driver.

I vote the DD's. Everyone always votes RE's so I'm gonna have to go against them. I've really liked the DD's I've heard.

Well I have already contacted them and I know what they cost I was trying to say I would not like to spend more than 600 on other ideas. With that said I have about 800 to spend on the subs if they are worth it I am sorry that I did not word the question properly. I still do not understand why you had to be an a**.

So with all of that over and done with I will reword the question. I have a total of 800 to spend on subs, I think I have narrowed it down between the DD3512's and re sx 12's. I have also looked into the incriminators. I am going for an spl set up and would like your guys input. Thanks Bud

Incriminator 187's are ****ed good for the price. I finally found one to play with. Didnt get much time in with it, but I'll be looking for my own pair to play with soon enough.

I can guarantee that the 3515's can get loud. Throw 1200rms on each in a nicely designed ported enclosure. It'll be worth every penny and sound alright.

The RE SX is a fine woofer. Lots of output. I've played with a couple in a few different installs. These can get loud and still sound good. But all in all I've found the 35 series from DD to be more accurate.

Straight SPL means that you will ONLY care about what the TermLab Sensor reads... in that case I'd reccommend the RE SX's. They are prolly level with the DD's on thermal dissipation for burping, but they are much easier to get repaired when the coil lets go.

Thanks they are 12's and not the 15's but that helps out alot the plan is going to be to have a box for daily and a box for comps. So I guess I do want some sq but am leaning more towards spl. I have had this U.S.2000 for a while alog with three 15 Kove armageddons but I do not have the space in thr trunk so they have just been sitting around now so I decided I need some 12's to use it with I have been consistantly hitting in the low to mid 140's with two 12 inch memphis hpo's on around 700 watts and it is now time to see what I can make this car do with new stuff. Thanks alot Bud.

The people at DD told me that they are 300 + s&h

And I was not able to get ahold of re yet because I do not know a number but I am assuming they are about the same.

You can get good info out of Njcc, if you stroke him correctly. Judging by his replies, I think you found his G-spot.
