RE SX10 question

It says on the site that a sealed enclosure is not recommended. Why is that? And what would happen if it was used in a sealed box?

It would sound like garbage most likely. If you're looking for a subwoofer to be used sealed from RE check out the SE.

Yes, my re se 12's off ~700 rms each in ~1.3-1.4 sealed wang.

Yup 700 each.

They are great, both running off a single Hifonics 1606D in the back of a camaro.

Yes 2 SE's would be fine off 1000wrms.

The Fi BL is very similar to the SX. It too can only be used ported. I'm selling mine that has hardly been used.....let me know if you are interested.

But yeah the (2) SE's would be fine with 1000 rms. Seal them up and they'll sound great....port them and they'll still sound nice but have more output.

What is Fi BL? Ive heard of it but cant find any info on it, same with Idq and Mach....but yea i will have a sealed box so i guess i will look into the SE

Sorry, I mis informed you. The IDQ is there middle tier sub, rated at 600RMS. I had it confused with the IDMAX for some reason when I was typing yesterday. But, I have still heard a lot of great stuff about all of Image Dynamics products. Sorry for the mis-information on the IDQ.
