RE SX or SE power problem

ok i have the Hifonics 1505d if i get the two se's ill be able to run it at 1ohm but if i get the 2 SX's ill only run it at 2ohms witch is only 1000w diveded by the 2 subs.(the amp really only put out about 800w) Witch should get louder in a ported box the 2 se's with full power or 2 sx's with half power? with both boxs to spec

I wouldnt bother with the SX's...why not get one and port it with those watts...

it would be louder than the SE's anyways...

No I believe you are wrong. The SEs are SQ woofers so getting a high score out of them would be tough. Just going with the one SX would be the best bet, even though you wouldnt be giving it the needed wattage.

1 SX is with 1400 RMS will be louder than 2 SE's with 1400

I have had both setups...

2 SX's would have to be wired at 4 ohms for that amp and would be worthless.

Get one SX, be loud, love it

To help a fellow "ghost" out....

2 SE's ported will get loud and have cleaner lowend and would sound better then 2 SX's at that power.

The other option would be to get 1 SX ported, if you move to a larger size sub, that could put up a higher score depending on teh install.
