don't rely on someone in a shop, learn for yourself so you have no one to blame.

i don't trust myself with 3000 watts.. so i took mine to a well rep shop in miami to adjust my sub. all my other setups were installed by me and set by me with no issues.

The SX was in my 2.197 c^3(w/o sub) enclosure tuned at 33hz. 28x13x19(LxWxH). So I guess you could say my box isnt very big.

wow i have 2 SX 15's and have never geven them more then 1200- 1300 RMS each and you guys are talking 1500+ on a saz 1500 and 1800 wow...

This make no sense.... first of all i wasnt overpowering the sub with my txa-1000D, i wasnt clipping, i wasnt playing the song that high(it was at 21/35), and it not a song with huge amounts of bass. All I can think of is that it was extremely humid out today and hot.

Could have been hurt on another day when you were bumping at full tilt. Could have been near it's last legs from previous abuse. Just happened to pick that day to give up, even at moderate volume. Happened to me once after going all out at a comp. Sub blew two days later at low volume (volume 15 out of 35 max) listening, but I only lost one voice coil and not both. Detached my tinsel lead.
