re sx and popping noise

might be combo of .5 gain and playing under tuning

Does it cutout only when u go full tilt as soon as u turn it on?

Might be putting amp into protect, not enough imp. rise

I have that same problem with my SE's I think.

sounds exactly like when i tried to wire my 2 ohm stable kx2500.1 to a 1 ohm (.7 dcr) load...

exactly the same. even with my impedance rise. it would play, then on certain notes stop and make that noise, then kick in again until the same note hit.

what does the MFG of that amp say its stable to? not what the forum says or what other people have told you, but the actual MFG.

Its Supposed To Be A 2100.05 But No Numbers On The Side, No Marking Def A D2000 Or D2100 By The Casing Its The Same Measurements As On Mmats Website But Was Told When I Bought It Was .05 Stable Model

Is There Any Marking On The Board Or Way To Test What Ohms Its Stable To.

i was told by people the kx2500.1 could do 1 ohm. mine couldnt. would cut out and back in, with a steady voltage, and impedance rise. just didnt like it.

amp not going in to protect does it even at 1/2 volume on the stereo but only on certain songs some songs i can crank it as loud as it will go and not reproduce it

ill try to wire it at 1 ohm on just 1 sub tomorrow if thats the case the d300hc is going in to replace it or i might just put my mx 12" to replace the sx's

I am definitely not bottoming out with my SE's, gain is down. I haven't tried to turn the subsonic filter up though.

I know this is a no-no but the box my friend loaned me until I get mine built is Shitty McAs.shole honestly. Screw holes all over the box, terrible air noise. Could this be the problem? I'm not bottoming out, it's just some horrid popping sound.

Um...so what note are they making the popping on?

The low note where they move alot?

If so, set the SSF correctly and turn the gain down alil.

No.. sorry for thread jacking if I am but I have the same problem lol.

But honestly.. it will start on any note and then just constantly pop pop pop completely randomly I have no idea what it is.

It definitely sounds like something with the cone.. just alot of random popping, like a scraping sound on some of the pops almost. It's really annoying and I can't figure out what it is.

I have ruled out bottoming out.. so it's not that.
