Re: Sealed in an SUV. 2 15's. Downfiring? Chokin em?

Trying to change my setup around a little, the 17cube box is just way to much and Im looking to get some rear cargo area back and go for a little more sq, 4 15's is a bit overpowering.

What I wanna do is stick 2 of my AQ 2.5 15's in a sealed box running off 1000rms.

Id like to either build an oddshape box to fit over the wheelwell and off to the side, with the subs stacked and facing inwards from the right side. Or build a basic rectangle box. Maybe 4 cubes max, maybe some polyfill?

BUT to retain cargo area with a basic sqaure box, Id like to lift the box off the ground 1.5" or so and have the subs on the bottom of the box firing into the floor? Does that work? Just so I could still put stuff all around the box and not worry about it?

I really just need some help on how the aq's might sound sealed, and in that volume I can give them. And if polyfill would be my friend hear. And if downfiring is the way to go.

Just looking to play more metal music, and hard rock and such, beefing up my midstage aswell

Thanks

Never tried the AQ's sealed, but ported they can work very well for rock/metal as that's mostly what I listen to.

Downfiring isn't a problem, just need to have room for the subs to move.
