RE SE questiion

req has the SE 10" and he said he gives it like 800W no problem, thats in a fiberglass enclosure though... if you port 'em you wouldnt need to give 'em 600 each.

well. my fiberglass box IS ported. and its recommended to stay within the specs RE gives ya, so i made it 1.2ft^3... but they say 600w RMS is the sweet spot... so i feed it 800 with the gains down a bit so my amp runs nice and easy.

the subs will have great SQ no matter if its ported or sealed, i DOUBT you will NEED 2 15's but thats up to you- you better have the room. id bet 2.5~3+ ft^3 for EACH. at least 5ft^3 ported, maybe get away with 4ft^3 sealed.

i would go ported, thats my prefrence. my single 10 doubled in output when i ported it. its amazing.

but they should be very loud none the less with 600 to each. and its recommended to stay at RMS with 2 subs, than go to peak with 1 sub. so your fine there.

port them to ~33hz, give them the required space, and float that 600w to them. make sure you dont blow\hurt your amp by running it at full power all the time, thats why i opted for the 800 instead of matching it for RMS. so i can do some nice burps if need be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

um i think thats all. but be prepared to kill all the other systems in your town. and bump responsably!

if you install that system correctly, you should hit 145db with no problem. (i think- you might need a little more wattage)

any other questions?

SQ > sealedSQ

SPL > Ported

SPL

Better SQ in a sealed box. With 2 15's I would Seal them. There going to be loud enough even in the sealed box and have awsome SQ.
like i said, i DOUBT you will need 2. one ported will be just as loud and with a smaller ported box it can prolly gulp that entire amp with no problem(and i bet it WILL be able to take that whole amp for burps sealed no problem). but again, ive not tested this, so dont quote me =P

dont do what?... let me know how the 15's sound, im about to order one once i get rid of this god dam bahn.

hell ya. i think im going to have to go with the 2 15's...heheh. 145db sounds very nice. Thanks for all the information.

Also I will have to put them in the back seat of a 4 door civic. Do you think I will go deaf?

not deaf... but your ears are gonna be on hurt for sure.... when i took my back seat out to see waht the bahn would sound like the output sounded like 10x better and when i got out of the car everythign sounded muffled.

um. the back SEAT... a sedan? so you are gonna get rid of the back 2 seats, and install a box that goes all the way back to the trunk?

deaf? if you port it to 40hz and feed them 1000w each with like 3ft^3 behind eaither one and burp it at the right freq, it could seriously injur your hearing\body.

but.

port the thing low, low 30's and do 1.5~3 ft^3 behind them (or just do whatever RE suggests) and make the box very strong with a TON of bracing. 45 all the inside corners... huge port down the center toward the front... and then put the subs right up close to the front ... hell... glass it in - would be simply amazing looking and incredibly loud.

is this a daily driver or is it a SPL\COMP vehicle?! i hope for gods sake its a SPL\show car.

that sounds like a plan, then you could save the extra money you would have spent on the other sub and spend it on Sound Deadener... because that 15 is gonna rattle the shyt outta that car.
