Type R is probably a decent comparison....although I have had more experience with the SE than the Type R...

Compareable to the w6v2. They have great SQ but for the price of an SE now I'd get a w6v2...

I believe the JL's are around $419.99 or so. MSRP that is.

SE's are great subs....if you don't go with those, get the Type R's.
