RE SE 12 D4 (Amp Suggestion)

I am running it in my Pathfinder on a Memphis MCD500 at 2 ohms. However, I am running my Hertz comps at @ 250 W RMS. Some songs just don't quite have enough punch when I turn it up to keep up with the comps. (Some things, like Led Zeppelin.) Any suggestions on an amp? I would rather not get a second sub. I have an in-line gain control, so my goal is really to have enough power that at full tilt on the dash knob (gains set appropriately at the amp) I will have sufficient bass on songs with less bass and so I can turn gain level down when necessary. Or if anyone has any other suggestions. It does not sound bad, just the comps get to ear-bleed levels before the subs.

More power, I gave my SEs 750watts each all day. Many are gonna say ditch the bass knob...

I used to have 1000 rms on mine, it loved it. Headroom > maxing out your amp.

That is about the power I was thinking of. Thanks. Just as a clarification, it is not a bass boost. Just so everyone knows. I have an Eclipse 6610 and going through 4 pages of menus to get to the sub-level is a PITA. Especially if I need to crank the level down going from one song to the next. Line-level control is just easier. Any specific amp suggestions?
